Black Friday Shipping Times
Please note that our normal processing time as well as our normal shipping times may be longer than usual due to increased volumes over Black Friday.
- Processing time: This is the time it takes to verify your order and payment, printing to order, curing and signing your photograph, performing quality checks and packaging it for shipment. While we usually aim to process all orders within 3 – 8 business days expect processing to take up to 10 business days.
- Shipping time: This refers to the time it takes for items to be shipped from our print lab in Cape Town to your destination. This typically takes between 3 and 7 business days but our shipping partner, DHL, has warned there may be delays over this period due to increased volumes. You can track your shipment using the tracking link provided once it has been processed for shipping.
Next steps:
- Order confirmation: Once you have placed your order with us you will receive an order confirmation email. Please check that the items listed are correct and email us on [email protected] if you require any changes.
- Please DO NOT email to check on order status unless it has been more than 10 business days. You will not hear from us until your order has been prepared and has been processed for shipping.
- Shipping confirmation: You will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a tracking link once we have processed your order for shipping (which means it is ready to ship).
- Tracking link: This link becomes active once your order has been picked up by the courier. We typically book shipments about 24 hours before pick up to allow for order queries. I.e. allow at least 24 hours for the link to become active.
- Duties and taxes: For international shipping: Within a day or two of pickup, you will receive an email from DHL with a link to pay any customs and taxes due. Failure to pay duties and taxes will result in your shipment being destroyed and no refund will be issued.
A note about framing
We have spent a lot of time designing beautiful frames to compliment the limited edition photographs we sell. We manufacture these frames to the highest standards at our workshop in George (South Africa). However, we would recommend international customers investigate framing options locally before opting to add framing to an international order as the shipping cost related to these orders is based on weight and can become expensive.
Our free shipping only applies to unframed photographs.
Shipping for framed orders will be charged at cost (see details below).
Unframed Photographs
Shipping method:
- Shipped in a tube: Unframed photographs are shipped in a tube. The photograph is carefully rolled in acid free tissue paper and secured with tape before being placed in a strong cardboard shipping tube. (Please see guidance on removing your photograph from the tube).
- For local (South African) orders: we make use of local couriers to deliver your photograph to your door in all main centres in South Africa.
- For international orders: we make use of DHL’s Express Delivery Service to deliver your photograph to your door in most cities around the world.
Shipment processing time:
The time frame for order delivery is divided into two parts:
- Processing time: This is the time it takes to verify your order and payment, printing and signing your photograph, performing quality checks and packaging it for shipment. All unframed photograph orders are processed within 3 – 8 business days.
- Shipping time: This refers to the time it takes for items to be shipped from our gallery in Cape Town to your destination. Local (South African) orders take 4 to 7 business days to arrive. International delivery usually takes about 7 to 10 business days to arrive.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. If there will be a significant delay in the shipment of your order, we will contact you via email.
Shipping rates
All our unframed photographs enjoy Free Shipping, so no shipping charges.
Framed Photographs
Shipping method:
- Shipped in a crate: Framed photographs are packaged with bubble wrap and shipped in a custom-made, wooden shipping crate.
- For local (South African) orders: we make use of local couriers to deliver your framed photograph to your door in all main centres in South Africa.
- For international orders: we make use of Excess Luggage to deliver your framed photograph to your door in most cities around the world.
Shipment processing time:
The time frame for order delivery is divided into two parts:
- Processing time: This is the time it takes to verify your order and payment, printing and signing your photograph, performing quality checks, sending the order for framing to George and packaging it for shipment. All framed photograph orders are processed within 2 to 4 weeks, since we manufacture all frames to order.
- Shipping time: This refers to the time it takes for items to be shipped from our workshop in George to your destination. Local (South African) orders take 4 to 7 business days to arrive. International delivery usually takes about 2 – 3 weeks to arrive.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. If there will be a significant delay in the shipment of your order, we will contact you via email.
Shipping rates
Please note that shipping will be quoted on request for framed orders and charged at the cost levied by our providers. Shipping will be invoiced separately and the order confirmed once payment has been received for both the photograph and the shipping. Alternatively, to place a single payment order, please email [email protected].
Shipment confirmation & Order tracking
You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
Customs, Duties and Taxes
Rabinowitz Photography is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).
Damages
If you have not received your order within 21 days of shipping, please contact us on [email protected] with both your order number and tracking number so we can trace it.
If you received your order damaged, please contact us within 14 days of delivery to initiate a claim (for more information, please refer to our Returns Policy).
